Another easy snack option is applies in coconut oil. I discovered this tasty treat last year while experimenting with coconut oil. First I thinly slice an apple. Then I heat some coconut oil in a skillet. Once the oil is nice and hot, I lay the apple slices in the oil without stacking them. I let the apples "cook" for a few minutes. Once they become brown on the bottom, I flip them over and brown the other side. Saute for the crispiness you desire. I then take the apples out of the skillet and lay them on a few paper towels to absorb the extra oil. I will then sprinkle with cinnamon, pum
pkin pie spice or apple pie spice. It's a wonderful snack for kids and adults in that it supples nutrients from the apple but also a good fat source from the coconut oil. Voila!
